Disney Art Editions have only produced 3 serigraphs from Carl Barks oil paintings. The serigraphs were made at the Moross Studios in Los Angeles, California with the collaboration of Carl Barks.

Collectors who own one or all of these serigraphs are also welcome to contact me !


GOLDEN FLEECE

GOLDEN FLEECE
The "GOLDEN FLEECE" is the first Carl Barks serigraph produced by Disney, and were released for sale in December, 1993.

It was produced from the original oil painting which Carl Barks completed in May 1972 and numbered 8-72.

Golden Fleece recreates a memorable moment from the 1956 comic "The Golden Fleecing" (Uncle Scrooge #12). Scrooge approaches the fleece unaware that he is inviting an attack from evil Larkies.

The GOLDEN FLEECE serigraph were released in 3 different editions; regular, remarqued and deluxe. The 3 editions were made in the following copies;

The original Disney prices (unframed) were 1,250$ for the regular edition, 2,500$ for the remarqued edition and 3,100$ for the deluxe edition. And additional 400.00$ for a framed one !

The serigraph is printed from hand-done color separations incorporating 96 colors on a sheet of 100% rag 320 gram acid-free Westwind paper. Actual image size is 12" x 24" (approx. 30 x 60 cm). It is the only oil painting he made in this odd size. The deluxe edition were printed on wood !

About half of the Deluxe edition (65 pieces) were destroyed by a flood! The Carl Barks Studio estimated the value of each of the remaining pieces at 6,000$ in 1998.

RICH FINDS AT INVENTORY TIME
RICH FINDS AT INVENTORY TIME is the second Carl Barks serigraph produced by Disney, and were released for sale in June, 1994.

It was produced from the original oil painting which Carl Barks completed in January, 1994 after 5 months of work.

The painting is the largest and most detailed "Money Bin" painting Carl Barks ever painted. Over 80% of the painting is in shades of gold, with each Eagle, Double Eagle and Canadian Maple Leaf coins rendered in meticulos detail and vibrance.

The RICH FINDS AT INVENTORY TIME serigraph were released in 3 different editions; regular, remarqued and deluxe. The 3 editions were made in the following copies;

The serigraph is printed from hand-done color separations incorporating 75 colors on a sheet of 100% rag 320 gram acid-free Coventry paper. Actual image size is 28" x 34" (approx. 71 x 86 cm). The deluxe edition were printed on imported deep black pigment, 350 gram, 100% cottom fiber Chat Noir paper which has a hand-torn deckle edge !

SURPRISE PARTY AT MEMORY POND is the third and last Carl Barks serigraph produced by Disney, and were released for sale in October, 1994.

It was produced from the original oil painting which Carl Barks completed in April, 1994 after 3 months of work.

This painting presents 15 characters and is one of only a few which incorporates such a multitude of Disney characters.

The SURPRISE PARTY AT MEMORY POND serigraph were released in 3 different editions; regular, remarqued and deluxe. The 3 editions were made in the following copies;
